We have one last article to share with you about our big move to Loudoun County. Local writer Rachel Bessman wrote an interesting and informative story that we felt compelled to share with you. It’s a great article that reminds us how far we’ve come to build a world-class facility that we can enjoy with you – our customers. It’s not just a car dealership, it’s a destination for fellow automotive enthusiasts and luxury seekers across the Greater Washington, D.C. region, and here’s how we made it happen.

Exclusive Automotive Group, a luxury automobile dealership serving the greater Washington D.C. metro, recently celebrated the grand-opening of their new world-class facility in Ashburn, Virginia. Their new showroom and service center, which houses a fleet of vehicles from Aston Martin, Bentley, Karma, and Koenigsegg, is the result of years of thoughtful planning that centered around client-need, comfort, and sustainability. The resulting aesthetic is at once both opulent and approachable, a unique combination of magnificence and pragmatism.

To build the perfect facility, Exclusive Automotive Group (EAG) teamed up with the highly accomplished architect Jon Penney, founder and owner of the Penney Design Group, LLC. Penney has worked with a variety of building types throughout his career, from industrial to residential, and began his specialty in automotive architecture in 1996. Since then, Penney has completed over 1,300 automotive projects with every original equipment manufacturer, as well as many local dealers.

“Our goal was to create an environment of modern elegance and high-quality furnishings befitting the luxury Aston Martin and Bentley Motor brands,” said Penney. “The superb quality of the previous EAG showroom along with the professionalism of the EAG staff inspired me to strive for a facility that would combine beauty, comfort and excellence.”

When it came to choosing a worthy build site, there were many considerations. “Finding a location took years and much hard work. We wanted a premium location on which we could build a world-class facility. We also wanted a convenient location for our customers and our incredible staff,” said Bill Shawn, Founding Partner of EAG. “Frankly, I think we picked the best spot imaginable. Of course, we’ve designed such attractive amenities that many of our customers will undoubtedly want to spend leisure time with us.”

And customers will have many chances to. “The EAG events are fun, chill, and non-pretentious,” said celebrity chef and EAG’s event caterer Cordell Robinson. “Everyone is so inviting and makes you feel like family.” Expect there to be plenty of upcoming opportunities for the local community to get to know and mingle with the EAG family.

“We look forward to getting to know our community and helping it grow and prosper. We already know some of our neighboring businesses like Silver Diner, and we look forward to supporting and even partnering with important causes,” said Shawn, adding, “Ashburn is where the action is.”

EAG’s new home is located right off Route 7 in Loudoun County, with two main showrooms that comprise over 10,300 sq ft of floor space – enough to house about 92 luxury vehicles. The center main lounge was inspired by luxury hotel lobbies, with a grand feature staircase at the entry. “I tried to channel the refinement and flair that’s found in the various Aston Martin and Bentley facilities around the world,” said Penney.

To bring the stunning new facility to life, Penney sourced materials and components from across the U.S. as well as Canada, England, Sweden, Italy and China. It boasts high-efficiency natural gas HVAC equipment, Solarban 90 low-e glazing windows, and LED lighting with daylight sensing technology, all of which reduce the facility’s impact on the environment.

“Our move is a key component for our goal of automotive excellence in the ultra-luxury and exotics market,” said Shawn.

If the planning and construction of their new showroom is to be any indication of how much they value excellence, then they are well on their way to achieving any goal they’d set out toward that end.

As Penney put it, shopping with EAG is “more of a lifestyle experience than a car-buying experience.”
